The CEO of JPMorgan Chase said the bank would likely support cannabis businesses when federal laws change. Cannabis rescheduling was put on pause last week due to allegations of DEA and anti-cannabis group collusion and this week, rescheduling received another blow. Trump picked a new DEA head, Derek Maltz to be approved by Congress. He was a special agent of the DEA when he blamed cannabis for school shootings and called rescheduling efforts politically motivated. Ouch. Finding someone at the DEA that respects the medical benefits of cannabis is like finding a dog to champion feline rights. Old habits die hard. ;) In fact, only 4% of cannabis users think the DEA is unbiased in deciding if cannabis should be rescheduled.
