Colorado is implementing a testing and labeling system for hemp that may be copied by other states. Though the FDA is slow to move on CBD, they did issue a warning that Nitrite Poppers, which are available in many convenience stores and head shops, can be dangerous. We have an interview with an ex US trade official who discusses some of the challenges and gives advice in achieving CBD and hemp reform. Given that he mentions that hemp fiber trade is avoided as it's hard to differentiate it from cannabis, it makes me wonder if hemp fiber exports will take off after cannabis is legalized.
