Hi,
Florida's department of agriculture identified nearly 70K illegal hemp products in 500 stores that might appeal to children. What might appeal to children is very interpretive.
Americans are increasingly concerned about the use of fentanyl and other opioids, with more than a quarter of respondents identifying these drugs as the largest threat to public health, surpassing concerns about obesity (which kills over 300K people annually) and COVID-19, as indicated in a recent opinion poll.
Congress is debating the new farm bill of 2023. In response to a US Government request, the non-profit US Hemp Roundtable published a report on CBD. Here are a few interesting stats. There was a 90% aggregate price drop for hemp CBD biomass, crude oil, distillate, and CBD isolate from 2019 to 2023. Wow! On the bright side, with a hypothetical 2024 US Federal regulatory framework the CBD market could more than double by 2027. The CBD market was estimated at $5B in 2023 and with the 2024 FDA regulation enacted could rise to as much as $11B in 2027. Without the 2024 US Federal regulations the CBD market is projected to stay flatter and reach only $7B. You could give your feedback to Congress by emailing CBD@mail.house.gov or CBD@help.senate.gov. You don’t need to be shy so feel free to tell Congress what you think!! :)
