Hi,
A new threat has emerged in the U.S. drug supply: medetomidine, a veterinary sedative similar to xylazine, is increasingly found mixed with fentanyl, leading to overdoses that naloxone can't reverse. Florida lawmakers disagreed on new rules for hemp-derived THC products, leaving the market unregulated until at least 2026. Meanwhile, the hemp industry is making a comeback, with U.S. acreage up 64% from last year. Floral hemp production more than doubled and is now valued at $445M. I assume that has to do with the psychoactive hemp we are seeing on retail shelves. 🤔
