Global Cannabis and CBD News Roundup YouTube

Hi,

The IRS has made it clear that cannabis companies won't receive any tax breaks or refunds under 280E until the DEA reschedules. Healthcare is warming up to psychedelics as a small survey showed that 94% of mental healthcare professionals are open to integrating psychedelic treatments if it's legal.

The SEC is accusing the leadership of Ignite International Brands of fraud. Paul A. Bilzerian, playboy Dan Bilzerian’s father, was indicted for allegedly running the cannabis company Ignite while hiding his assets to avoid paying over $180M in past SEC judgments (the $62M original fine has accumulated interest) and misrepresenting Ignite’s sales figures in 2020. The allegations paint quite the tangled web. A theory exists that when Paul claimed he was too impoverished to settle an SEC debt, he secretly gave millions to his son Dan, who touted that the money was from big poker winnings. Dan then lived a lavish lifestyle with that as well as Ignite investor money…. Allegedly, of course. ;)

Thanks and have a stupendous week!
Jessica
