Hi,
A recent study from UCSD has found no association between cannabis use and an increased risk of hypertension, unlike the use of cigarettes. In a different vein (pardon the pun) San Francisco has implemented a moratorium on new cannabis retail businesses until 2028, aiming to protect existing businesses from increased competition. The problem is that while there are already 60 operating dispensaries, there are 120 more applications being processed.
Mastercard, following Visa's lead, has issued a directive to financial institutions to halt cannabis transactions on its debit cards at dispensaries, citing federal laws. I doubt that the Feds would go after Visa or Mastercard for processing debit transactions in state-licensed dispensaries from pro-cannabis banks. Then again, people keep telling me that I'm not a lawyer. :)

Thanks and have a sunny week,
