A little under the radar is the huge increase in meth overdoses experts attribute partly to fentanyl. Fentanyl overdoses are up significantly in Seattle from 2022, particularly in King County. I wonder if that's related to the scary trend of tranquilizers and benzodiazepines mixed with fentanyl whose epicenter is Vancouver.

In Texas, a kid might be accused of a felony for what could be delta-8 usage. In a state that can't figure out the difference between cannabis and hemp, they shouldn't be accusing kids of serious crimes. Especially when it could result in felonies for using products from convenience stores that follow them for the rest of their life.

In Pennsylvania, unregulated CBD derivative gummies were found to have fentanyl in them being sold by a seemingly unsuspecting store owner. Whether the addition of fentanyl was intentional is unclear, but with the DEA classifying delta-8 as Schedule 1 last week, I wonder if law enforcement will be cracking down on vendors and consumers alike.
