Hi,

Mississippi voters approved of medical cannabis 15 months ago and finally, after lawsuits and an obstinate governor forcing concessions, they will have their wish. Mississippi became the 37th state to legalize medical cannabis as we wait for the opening of dispensaries.

The NFL Players Association will award a million dollars in grants to five projects. They announced the University of San Diego and the University of Regina as winners with the purpose of studying how cannabinoids work as neuroprotectants and in pain management. Due to their hazardous line of work, NFL players have a disproportionate amount of brain injuries and opioid addictions. Florida has stiff requirements for citizen-sponsored initiatives to get on the ballot, with none of the three citizen-sponsored bills in Florida qualifying. While there are legalization bills in Florida’s congress, they lack bipartisan support.

I hope your week is something else! :)
