It looks like Ohio's campaign to legalize recreational cannabis has submitted sufficient signatures for the November ballot! A UCSD Clinical trial indicates that psilocybin mushrooms offer therapeutic benefits for female anorexia patients. A former FDA attorney predicts the Biden administration will reschedule cannabis by early 2024. He also addressed concerns about cannabis moving to Schedule 2. He emphasized that if the FDA wanted to require cannabis be sold in pharmacies only, they could enact it now, suggesting that businesses shouldn't fear rescheduling.

I do think that while Big Pharma will eventually try to control this market, it won't be easy. The legalization framework is currently integrated into state constitutions, and I wouldn't expect the states to bend over backward for the feds. Plus, the movement that built this industry has a lot of strength and will always support small and independent cannabis businesses. :)
