Hi,
Oklahoma, where 10% of the population has medical marijuana cards, is voting Tuesday to turn its cannabis program from medical to adult-use. I love that Oklahoma has the most dispensaries of any state because it:
1) Shows that even red states support cannabis when politicians get out of the way
2) Allows me to call midwest conservatives pot-smoking hippies :)
Mendocino, famous for its cannabis for decades, has only approved 1% of permits while neighboring Humboldt country has approved 63%! I don't know if this is due to inept politicians or influence from the prominent wine industry, but adult-use cannabis in the county has become a nightmare for small growers, especially with the price of flower dropping.
Though Wyoming activists gathered enough signatures overall for the 2024 ballot, some counties fell short. Cannabis won't be on the ballot in 2024. I’m wondering why they need signatures over 1½ years before the election. Is this due to having too many seniors involved in the ballot process? I'm joking! I love you guys. :)
