Trump’s strategy to combat fentanyl involves putting 10% tariffs on China and 25% on Mexico and Canada until they stem the flow of products to the US. I think they’ll increase drug enforcement efforts but if Trump keeps the tariffs, these countries will do the same. That means more expensive Chinese hardware and packaging. And what exactly defines stemming the flow by these countries anyway? Trump will decide. Trump likes to make world leaders nervous. Hopefully, it will help.
